I love my iPhone. Two years ago I reluctantly headed into the Verizon store with my flip phone that had been dropped one too many times to get a new phone. I had decided that like it or not, I was going to have to get a smart phone. I laugh now because it took me about, oh an hour, before I realized that my iPhone is the coolest thing ever. I don't do tons and tons of apps, but the ones I deign to install on my precious phone have to be useful to me. Here are some that I've used for running. Please chime in with ones that you like too.

Strava Run-Free, Apple and Android. GPS app that tracks your pace and maps out your run.
IntervalTimer-Free, Apple (not sure on Android). You can set alarms to set up run/walk segments during your run.
MyFitnessPal-Free, Apple and Android. Lets you set diet and fitness goals, adds social networking if you want.
MilePost-Free version has ads, Apple (not sure on Android). Daily running quotes.
Zinio-Free. Not a fitness app, but the Salt Lake County Library System offers free magazine access to its card holders using this app. Runner's World is one of the magazines you can get. Ask your SLCO librarian about it (not sure if other library systems have this).
I use Runtastic and like it a lot. There is a free version and a pro version for a few bucks.
