Whether you run all the time or are just getting going, making a plan is an important step in getting to your goal. Have you got a run goal for yourself? What are you planning to help yourself achieve that goal? What helps you motivated? For those of you using our 5K training plan for the May 30th event, tomorrow is a 1.5 mile run. Some days I get up and feel ready to go, other days...eh, not so much. One of my tricks is to put on my running clothes and shoes even if I'm not convinced I really want to go. I usually end up heading out the door-even if I've bargained with myself that I don't have to do the full run--once I get going I usually do. That being said, there have been days that the run just feels "off"--maybe its nothing specific, or maybe its that annoying chronic injury. Whatever the case, I've learned to not feel bad if the run doesn't go as planned. I might try again in the evening, or the next day.
I'm headed out tomorrow for an easy run in what looks to be a pretty nice day. Hope you will be outside too! Feel free to share with our group how your Saturday run went!
How'd your Saturday run go? I got mine done early. Now I get to do the rest of my Saturday stuff.
ReplyDeleteA week later I'm finally starting! Going for four times a week with long runs in Saturdays. We'll see how it goes!
